The festivities

Holi: The holi festival now is very well-known in occident. They throw kilos of dyed powder creating a beautiful show of colors that dyes streets and people. Days before the date, the family started collecting Wood to burn it the night before.

Diwali: Diwali is the start of the new year Hindu, it's in the month of Kartika (from 7th of october till 8th of november) It's a party that the night of the fifth day of celebration the families have dinner together and the streets are full of light and colors in the night. Then they throw fireworks.

Giri Pradakshina: in Sanskrit Giri means "hill" and Pradakshina "walk around a sacred place". This celebration is in Tiruvanamalai, one of the five sacret cities. In it there is a mountain called Arunachala and the big temple of Annamalaiyar. They realized a hike around 14 Km.
Elepant's festival: Every year, the city of Jaipur does the elephant's festival (normally they do it in march). the principal characters of this celebration are the elephants. They do shows and races with the animals.
The camel day: They celebrate it in the month of kartik (between october and november), in the locality of Pushkar. They do activities with camels.
